What is your favoite holiday and what are some traditions you have?
My favorite holiday, and I didn’t even realize it up until this point, is the Fourth of July. This is because I’ve had so many memories from the Fourth of July, and enjoyable times to look back on. Every Fourth of July, up until a few years ago, my sister, my mother, my three cousins, my aunt, uncle, and I would meet up at my grandparent’s house in the Hamptons (Long Island) and spend the weekend there. Every year it was sunny and beautiful. We would swim in the pool and run around basically all day. I remember one year we put on a “play”, and then another year we played a game of kickball. Every year, it was just as much fun as the last, and those are the memories that I will look back fondly on. Now everyone’s older, we don’t get along as much, but I miss these times at the beginnin of summer every Fourth of July.
